London, 15 April 2013 –The UK Sustainable Investment and Finance Association (UKSIF) has appointed Simon Howard, a former Group Chief Investment Officer with over twenty years of experience in investment management, as its new Chief Executive. Simon Howard said “UKSIF is recognised globally as a leading champion for sustainable investment and finance. I am delighted to join this highly regarded association and look forward to working with UKSIF’s board and members to build on its track record.”

Howard will replace Penny Shepherd who announced in late 2012 that she would be stepping down after eight years. She will act as an adviser during the transition before leaving the organisation at end June.
